This year has been different (to put it mildly!) but amongst the chaos, change and challenges of 2020, there have been some positives. When I first started Deviate PR my intention for this venture was to help give marketing advice to musicians and provided a good PR service to help them reach a wider audience. The early stages of business are always tricky but I think I can say that I have made progress with my initial intention despite the ups and downs of the last twelve months.
You can listen to all of these release and more on the Deviate PR Spotify playlist here!
This year hasn’t just been fantastic for a range of powerful releases by independent artists, who I’ve been fortunate to work with, it’s also brought some great industry connections and opportunities. I have been working with Battl Victory Records since 2019 and this year has seen the record label grow with more talented artists joining their roster. I have become more closely involved with US based The Mosh Pit Podcast – if you’ve heard any of the recent episodes you may have noticed my little Deviate advert in there! The last few weeks of the year also saw Deviate PR sponsor Radio Wigwam‘s 2020 Awards. It’s been fantastic working with an online radio station that celebrates all genres of music and has taken the time to spin many of my clients!
I’m incredibly grateful to all of the magazines, webzines, media outlets, radio stations, podcasts and playlist curators who have taken the time to listen to and feature my clients’ music!
I’ll be honest, I’m not sure why I included this section as there isn’t necessarily much that I can say. There a currently a small number of releases planned for next year (as of the time of writing this). I want to continue to grow my industry connections as it’s lovely meeting new people who share a love of music. I’m continually striving to improve my services and find the best ways to help musicians and artists obtain a further reach with their music.
I have said this before, and I mean it, I am always happy to chat and answer any queries that I can. please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me if you have questions. It’s horrible seeing the industry suffer during these times and I will do all I can to help people get through this. DM me on social media or email me: [email protected]
I wish you all the best, whatever your circumstances may be.
Stay safe, much love,
Holly x
