II. Establish your goals for the year
when you fail to reach it, it may feel like failure when this is not the case. The goals were simply unattainable for you at the time. For example, don’t aim to write and release ten full length albums in 2021 because you will experience burn out, lose motivation and not reach the goal.
If you are working on new music set smaller deadlines to help reach your main goal. For example, set a date for when you want song writing to be completed, set aside time (with extra built in) for studio sessions, and perhaps maybe even plan for a video shoot? But only if it fits with your scheduling.
From a marketing perspective some useful goals can be:
These may seem like pretty small goals but it is so important that they are manageable, reachable and something you can do if your resources are limited due to the current climate.
Something else to bear in mind is that in twelve months’ time, whether you have met these goals or not, you can learn something from them. Use social media tools such as audience reach to help figure out any areas for improvement that would allow the goals to be reached. You never know, you may even exceed your goals having learnt which digital marketing techniques work for you.
