Disconnected Souls unveil new single: ‘Oathbreaker’

‘Oathbreaker’ is the new single from metallers, Disconnected Souls. This single lands ahead of their debut EP, ‘Warring Elements’ which releases on Friday 13th March 2020.

‘Oathbreaker’ combines what is best described as a heavy hard rock track with a synth fuelled breakdown. Keeping a sense of the eerie and dissonant, the first verse sees Patrick and Holly’s vocals deliver an emotional and ethereal harmony.

The seven track EP tells the story of two opposing forces as they battle with each other and attempt to make sense of the world around them. It isn’t a straight-forward as good versus evil, it is far more complex than that. Disconnected Souls have a very diverse sound, which will become apparent upon release of the full EP. Taking influences from numerous metal sub-genres, including symphonic metal, djent, deathcore, and folk, each track delves into a different world of sounds and textures. Yet, it remains cohesive throughout, both musically and in the narrative.
