Chronicler Of Ardul Unveil ‘Sword of Virné’ EP & Video

The dark fantasy tale of bloodshed and greed is unleashed through Chronicler of Ardul’s ethereal orchestration, brutal death metal sound and aggressive vocals. The Sword of Virné EP is out now accompanied by the new lyric video for the title track.

Project leader David Williams comments: “Sword of Virné now marks the second prologue set in the world of Ardul. The third song and title track of this EP comes back to the perspective of Durmad, having returned after accomplishing his goals in using great forbidden magic.

Wanting to test his new weapon, he picks victims. But soon, there is a greater battle: who is actually in control? The trail of blood throughout the world and history is just beginning for the thirsty blade.

The backstories have been set, the main story will begin.”

About Chronicler of Ardul:
Chronicler of Ardul was started as a passion project by David Williams when he wanted to combine his love of metal music and dark fantasy to tell a story that spanned over songs and albums. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, he puts his skills to the test to create the music for a story he had been working on for 9 years. The debut EP called Myrewood released late 2023, with its written short story partner, Myrewood Part 1, released in May 2024. Musically, Chronicler of Ardul draws from the likes of Shadow of Intent and Mental Cruelty in the metal world, while also taking inspiration from Japanese composer Nobuo Uematsu.
